Grab your towels. May 25th is Towel Day since, It is a day of tribute to Douglas Adams, author the science fiction trilogy The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The day will be celebrated by fans around the world. It was first celebrated in 2001, just two weeks after Adams sudden and unexpected death. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports a multistate outbreak of Salmonella in humans. Fourteen people in nine different states have confirmed cases of Salmonella. Diamond Pet is expanding a voluntary recall to include batches of nine brands of dry pet food formulas manufactured between December 9, 2011 and April 7, 2012 due to potential Salmonella contamination.

More than 25 million Americans have asthma, including seven million children. This month (May) is Asthma Awareness Month and during the month, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) will work to raise awareness about this chronic condition which, by definition, is a disease that affects the lungs.

Originally known as "Barr's Quarries", Quarryville got its name from the various quarries in the area and can trace its history back to 1775. Quarryville is a small borough in Southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Today, a little over 2000 people call this borough home. Quarryville Borough has much to offer both in organizations and businesses.

Juliette Gordon Low is one of 13 influential people to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. President Barack Obama announced the recipients last week. The Medal of Freedom, the Nation’s highest civilian honor, will be presented in late spring at the White House. Low founded the Girl Scouts a hundred years ago in 1912.
